India to become world’s 3rd largest economy in next 2 years: Union Minister Som Parkash

Patiala, June 13, 2023 – Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, in a significant move towards employment generation, distributed approximately 70,000 appointment letters to newly inducted recruits in Government departments and organizations today. The distribution took place through a video conferencing event, where the Prime Minister also addressed the appointees, emphasizing the importance of their role in national development.

The Rozgar Mela, organized at 43 locations across the country, witnessed the recruitment of deserving individuals in Central Government Departments, as well as State Governments and Union Territories supporting this initiative. The newly appointed recruits will be joining various Departments including Financial Services, Posts, School Education, Higher Education, Defence, Revenue, Health and Family Welfare, Atomic Energy, Railways, Audit and Accounts, and Home Affairs, among others.

The Rozgar Mela is a significant step towards fulfilling the Prime Minister’s commitment to prioritizing employment generation. It serves as a catalyst in creating further employment opportunities and empowering the youth to actively participate in the nation’s development.

In addition to the distribution of appointment letters, the newly inducted appointees will have the opportunity to train themselves through the Karmayogi Prarambh program. This online module, available on the iGOT Karmayogi portal, offers more than 400 e-learning courses in an “anywhere, any device” learning format.

The event took place at the Harpal Tiwana Auditorium in Patiala, where the Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Shri Som Parkash, personally handed over the appointment letters to the selected recruits. Expressing his belief in India’s future leadership, he commended the new recruits for their crucial role in propelling the nation forward. “You are the backbone of India’s future and hold the key to our nation’s progress. Your dedication and commitment will shape our country’s destiny. I have full confidence in your abilities and believe that you will play a vital role in realizing our vision of a prosperous and developed India”, he added.

“India is on the path to becoming the 3rd largest economy in the world within the next two years. Our nation is blessed with immense potential, a vibrant workforce, and a robust framework for growth. With the government’s visionary policies and the determination of our citizens, we are poised to achieve unprecedented economic progress”, Union Minister Som Parkash said. He further added, “As we continue to focus on infrastructure development, innovation, and entrepreneurship, we will witness the transformation of India into a global economic powerhouse very soon.”

The success of the event in Patiala owes much to the efforts of the Department of Financial Services (DFS) and the State Level Bankers Committee, who orchestrated this Rozgar Mela.

The Prime Minister’s distribution of appointment letters and the Rozgar Mela reflect the government’s unwavering commitment to employment generation and providing meaningful opportunities to the youth. By empowering individuals and strengthening institutions, the government aims to create a prosperous and developed future for India.
