38th Annual Prize Giving Function held at Post Graduate Government College, Sector-46, Chandigarh

The 38th Annual Prize Giving Function of Post Graduate Government College, Sector-46, Chandigarh was held here today. Sh. Amandeep Singh Bhatti, Director Higher Education, Chandigarh Administration, was the chief guest on this occasion. The event started with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp as a tribute to Goddess Saraswati. Principal, Dr. Abha Sudarshan accorded a warm welcome to the chief guest and other eminent dignitaries. Dr. Sudarshan read the annual report of the college. She applauded the prize winners and appreciated their tenacious efforts. As many as 470 graduates and post-graduates were given prizes in the faculties of Arts, Commerce, Management and Computer Applications. 13 Roll of Honour, 81 College Colours and 104 Merit Certificates were also awarded to the students for their achievements in academics, NSS, NCC, Sports and cultural activities.
Sh. Bhatti congratulated the students on their honours and accomplishments. In his address he said that it is a day to celebrate the determination and unflinching hard work of the students. He highlighted the importance of striking an ideal balance between academics and co-curricular activities which is pivotal in the comprehensive growth of an individual. He inspired the students to look forward with confidence and determination..
He also congratulated Dr. Abha Sudarshan, spearheading the growth and development of this institution with her dedication and exemplary leadership. He appreciated the efforts of the faculty, students, and other staff members of the college for working diligently. The Vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Dean of the college.
