Administrator of Chandigarh inaugurated the Golden Jubilee Multi Purpose Hall at Banga Bhawan
Chandigarh : The Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh inaugurated the Golden Jubilee Multi Purpose Hall at Banga Bhawan sec 35 Chandigarh. The hall was constructed with the grant of Rs 41 lacs received from the Punjab Governor’s discretionary grant extended by him. The Governor praised the effort of the management of Banga Bhawan for constructing it in a record time and making full use of the funds. He praised the Bengalis of the city for their splicing and spirituality. On the occasion the President of the organisation Shri Anindu Das welcomed the Governor and expressed his gratitude for extending the grant.
The General Secretary Shri PRABAL Syam gave a brief outline of the activities and dealt at length on the construction activity of the same. He further said he wants this to be a green building and laud a road map of solar lighting and water harvesting. He said the fund was a hindrance and said he will need help from the administration. Local Area councilor Smt Premlata and councilor Smt Taruna Mehta also attended the meeting.
