Senior Citizen Association honours 100 year old
Every child should take full care of their parents when they are old: Santosh Verma
Chandigarh 14th April 2023:Senior Citizens Association, Sector 21 felicitated 100 year old elderly lady Santosh Verma living in Sector 21 with Life Time Achievement Award on the occasion of Baisakhi. During this, his son Surendra Verma and AS Bhatia and other officials from the association were also present with him. On this occasion, Santosh Verma said that she has full support from his family.
The whole family stands with her at every step. Every child should take full care of their parents when they are old. Because in this situation the parents have only one support and that is their children. Just as parents take care of their children, in the same way they should also take care of them in their old age.
On the other hand, Santosh Verma’s son Surendra Verma, who is also the chairman of the Citizen Awareness Group, said that he is happy with mother’s happiness, the values she has given us in childhood, we are moving on the same path. We are happy that the association has honored her with the Life Time Achievement Award, which is a matter of pride for our family.
During the program, the association also celebrated the birthdays of senior citizens falling in the month of April and congratulated them. The association also presented a colorful program on the occasion in which the members recited evergreen Hindi and Punjabi songs and won a lot of appreciation. In this program, the book titled Meri Soch, Mere Khayal by writer Sukhcharan Kaur Bhatia was released by 100-year-old Santosh Verma. The stage operation in the program was done by AS Bhatia.
