The inauguration of Community Centre at Ram Darbar, U.T. Chandigarh was done by Smt. Kirron Kher, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Chandigarh in the presence of Sh. Anup Gupta, Mayor, Dr. Dharam Pal, Adviser to the Administrator, U.T., Smt. Anindita Mitra, IAS, Commissioner MCC, Sh. C.B. Ojha, Chief Engineer, U.T., Sh. Kapil Setia, Chief Architect, U.T., Smt. Neha, Area Councillor and other senior officers of the Chandigarh Administration & Municipal Corporation. ​
​​Community Centre, Ram Darbar has been developed by the Chandigarh Administration and it is necessary to construct Community Centre to cater day to day social needs of residents of the vicinity.
​​The Community Centre has been spread over an area of 1 acre. The total cost of Construction of this 3 storey building comes out to Rs. 07.32 Crore and the building comprises of facilities such as bride room, Gymnasium/Indoor games, senior citizen room, office/Sampark centre, stair case, lift, library, family room, store, entrance lobby, gents & ladies toilet, pantry, kitchen, chowkidar room, sitting area, store/record room, toilet for disabled, etc. The said building has also a provision of parking for 22 cars. The Community centre is fully air-conditioned with provision of fire fighting and fire sensing also. The building is constructed as a Green building with 3 Star Griha Rating.
​​The Hon’ble Member of Parliament has appreciated the work done by the Engineering Department, U.T. regarding the construction of such a very good Community Centre at Ram Darbar and asked the residents of area to keep it in good condition and utilize it properly for the community in proper way.
