The NSS wing of the Post Graduate Government College, Sector-46, and Department of Public Administration organized various events to celebrate National Unity Day and to kickstart Vigilance Awareness Week celebrations. National Unity Day is observed to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the First Home Minister of India. Principal of the college, Dr. Abha Sudarshan administered the National Unity Day Pledge to the staff and students. After the pledge, NSS volunteers proceeded for a one km Run for Unity around the college campus. The efforts of the NSS volunteers were applauded by the Principal of the college, Dr. Abha Sudarshan. The event was organised by the NSS program officers Dr. Sidharath Kumar, Ms. Pooja Gupta, Dr. Amanpreet Kaur and Dr. Arvinder Singh. The Department of Public Administration of Post Graduate Government College, Sector 46, Chandigarh is organising Vigilance Awareness Week on the theme: Corruption Free India for a Developed Nation from 31 Oct, 2022 to 6 Nov, 2022. The event started with students and staff of the college taking a pledge against corruption and unethical practices in professional and personal life. With an aim to raise awareness amongst the students regarding the civil rights and duties as citizens of the country An array of week-long events like Movie Screening, Brain Writing, and Roll on Dice have been planned. Principal Dr. Abha Sudarshan lauded the efforts of convenor Dr. Meenakshi Madaan.
