University Institute of Fashion Technology and Vocational Development (UIFT &VD) Panjab University organised a workshop on ‘Self-Makeup’ during a regular lecture series by alumni of the department. The resource person was Ms. Margee, a UIFT & VD, alumna and a beauty content creator. In her opening remarks, Dr. Anu H. Gupta, Chairperson UIFT & VD, emphasised that wearing makeup has evolved into a significant part of modern grooming rituals. A confident appearance can be enhanced with make-up. The session was attended by about 80 students from the B.Sc. and M.Sc. programmes in Fashion and Lifestyle Technology.
Ms. Margeediscussed about her journey and experience working with well-known international brands. She deliberated about the significance of makeup application and importance of learning makeup for fashion and lifestyle technology students. It helps one look smart and brings attention to one’s attractive features. Although there are countless makeup and cosmetic product options on the market, one should be able to choose the right one and apply it quickly. Additionally, hairstyling can assist in achieving various styles. She gave her tips and tricks to do every day full face makeup in 15 minutes. Through a demonstration, students learned intriguing self-makeup techniques. This workshop was organised by Ms. Parneet, guest faculty, UIFT&VD. Students were witnessed engaged enthusiastically and appreciating the workshop.
