Sh. Dharam Pal, Adviser to the Administrator chaired a meeting with the Municipal Corporation Councillors of Ward 19 to 27 in the presence of senior officers of Chandigarh Administration.
The councillors presented the ward wise concerns before the Adviser for an effective and timely resolve of the issues. The Ward representatives highlighted the developmental and maintenance works in their areas before the chair for a quick redressal of the issues.
Issue of misuse of vacant Government land was discussed at length wherein the Adviser has directed the Concerned officials to list all the vacant Government properties and ensure that no trespassers are allowed on the Administration’s land.
The Councillors raised development and maintenence issues before the Adviser, on which Sh. Dharam Pal has assured and directed the officials to address these issues and resolve them in a time bound manner. He stressed that any issue that is causing inconvenience to the general public shall be disposed off in a specific timeframe.
The maintenance of the schools was also discussed. Education Department informed that survey of all schools have been completed and necessary action to address any maintenance issues is already under-way and will be completed in a time bound manner.
The Ward councillors expressed their gratitude to Sh. Dharam Pal for addressing the concerns of public and bringing all the councillors at the forum where public grievances can be discussed and resolved in an amicable manner.
