PGIMER’s NINE celebrates International Day for Older Person
The international day for older person was celebrated on October 1, 2022 at NINE, under the banner of NSS unit, PGIMER, Chandigarh. A total of 166 NSS volunteers participated in the event. Dr. Sukhpal Kaur, Officiating Principal, NINE, PGIMER unfolded the theme “Resilience of Older Persons in Changing World” and emphasized the importance of elderly persons in society and their contribution during pandemic Covid-19.
NSS volunteers presented poetry, role play, dance and shared their own experiences with the elderly. Aims and Objectives of NSS program were introduced to the newly enrolled NSS volunteers.
On this event Mrs. Meenakshi Agnihotri and Mrs. Shabana Praveen former NSS Program Officers were facilitated for the selfless efforts during their tenure.
