The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organized an interactive session on the Industry Academy Linkage to enhance the opportunities and internships & Apprenticeship for the students

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organized an interactive session on the Industry Academy Linkage to enhance the opportunities and internships & Apprenticeship for the students of Polytechnics and the Government Industrial Training Institutes of Chandigarh in the Industry. The session was chaired by the chairman Mr. Rajeev Kaila (Chairman CII Chandigarh Council) and presided by the Worthy Secretary Ms. Purva Garg. Mr Amandeep Bhatti, Director Technical Education /Mission Director apprised the industry of the programs being run under the Department of Technical Education and also under the various initiatives taken by Chandigarh Skill Development Mission. The industry members showed great enthusiasm to offer recruitment to these students from the Polytechnics and Industrial training Institutes . They suggested to work on the quality of training imparted and also emphasized on the improvement communication skills. It was decided to form a joint committee comprising of the industrial partners and government officials to continue this agenda forward the response of the industry was overwhelming. Mr Sumanpreet (CII director and head CII chapter) and the Research officer Ms. Anju Lakhani would carry the agenda forward to build the Industry Academia Linkage to cope up with the New Education Policy (NEP 2020).
