Many scientists of Panjab University Chandigarh have been incessantly working to innovate on live problems of Industry. Dr P J Singh (Owner of Tynor Orthotics Private Limited, Mohali, Punjab) has offered to honour scientists of Panjab University that are closely working with Industry to solve Industrial problems through application of Science & Engineering. Pertinent to observe here that Dr P J Singh has graduated from prestigious University Institute of Pharmaceutical Studies (UIPS) of Panjab University, Chandigarh and is currently Vice-Chairman of Confideration of Indian Industries (CII), Punjab. Through a formal email to Panjab University, Dr P J Singh has offered to sponsor five cash awards for teachers of Panjab University, amounting to Rs 51000/-, Rs 21000/-, Rs 11000/-, Rs 5100 and Rs 5100/-. Honourable Vice Chancellor of Panjab University, Professor Rajkumar has expressed his happiness on this great gesture from Industry to promote Industry-Academia collaborations and shared that through this gesture a new enthusiasm to do Industry relevant research will be injected in scientists of Panjab University Chandigarh. Professor Raj Kumar shared that through Centre for Industry Institute Partnership Programme (CIIPP) and Technology Enabling Centre (TEC) of Panjab University, Panjab University will make all possible efforts to develop technologies for Industry and in very near future we will make Panjab University a fountainhead of technologies for Industry.
