13th IJ Dewan Memorial Educational Workshop on “Organs talk – time to take Prevention”
Two day 13th IJ Dewan Memorial Educational Workshop on “Organs Talk: Time to take prevention” organized for school children and general public by the Department of Anatomy, PGI, Chandigarh was inaugurated today. It was attended by the students of various schools Govt Model High school – 12, Sacred Heart School, Dhanwantri Ayurvedic Hospital, DAV, Sector – 15, DPS, Chandigarh and SD Vidya School, Ambala. Students got an opportunity to learn about the ill-effects of unhealthy life style like smoking, drinking alcohol, driving without helmet, consuming junk food, excessive use of cell phones and consequences of antibiotic abuse through demonstrations on normal and diseased human body organs. Each and every participant was declared as the health ambassador. Teachers of various schools said it was a brilliant experience and wished to bring all their students to the workshop. Many pupils felt that such an educational workshop should reach every remote sector
