As per the directions of Govt. of India, “Covid Vaccine Amrit Mahotsav” a 75 day campaign of free precaution dose for beneficiaries from 18 years and above in age, was inaugurated yesterday n Chandigarh by Secretary Health, Chandigarh Administration, Shri Yashpal Garg (IAS). Secretary Health inaugurated this Jan Abhiyan by lighting the ceremonial lamp followed by him and his wife getting vaccinated with precaution dose at the auditorium building, GMSH-16, Chandigarh. The Director Health & Family Welfare, Chandigarh Administration, Medical Superintendent (GMSH-16), District Immunization Officer and other programme officers were present at this inaugural function. As per the directions of MoHFW, the covid vaccination certificates were generated at the spot and handed over to the beneficiaries. The Secretary Health & DH&FW answered the media queries from persons present at the function. After that Secretary Health inspected this vaccination centre and discussed some health related issues with the DH&FW & DIO. The Health Department, U.T. Chandigarh again requests city residents to get themselves and their families vaccinated with covid vaccines for protection against COVID-19.
