The Department of Prisons & Correctional Administration under the guidance of IG prison Sh. Deepak Purohit and Superintendent Burail Jail, Smt. Palika Arora organized Legal Aid Camp inside the Model Jail, Chandigarh in collaboration with Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, UT, Chandigarh today.
Around 16 Advocates conducted the Legal Aid Camp in the male & female ward of the Jail. The needy inmates were provided legal aid assistance to defend their cases in the Court of Law. The inmates took the benefit of Legal Aid Camp held in the Jail and discussed their legal issues with the Advocates deputed by the District Legal Services Authority, Chandigarh. Such camps will be organized for the inmates from time to time in future also.
