Physiotherapy Unit has been set up in the female ward of the Jail.
Sh. Deepak Purohit, IPS, Inspector General of Prisons, Chandigarh inaugurated the Physiotherapy Unit today in the presence of Smt. Palika Arora, PCS, Joint Inspector General of Prisons, UT Chandigarh and other Jail Officers.
The Physiotherapy Room will provide comfort to female inmates having health problems and will also reduce security threats.
Along with that 01 Children Room has been inaugurated in the female ward. Toys and other facilities have been arranged for small kids. Currently, 03 kids are staying with their mother in Jail. This room will provide them a change of environment and will help to develop their motor skills.
