‘Love Is In The Air’ With Neeru Bajwa And Gurnam Bhullar’s Sizzling Romance In Kokka; Releasing On 20th May
| 18th May 2022 | Neeru Bajwa Entertainment and Topnotch Studios UK are all set to bring in a modern-day age factor romance with Kokka releasing on 20th May 2022. The film is written by Rupinder Inderjit and directed by Santosh Subhash Thite and Bhanu Thakur. The beauty queen, Neeru Bajwa has come together with the industry’s dashing actor, Gurnam Bhullar in an intriguing love story of all times.
The film’s plot is as such that Akaal, a youthful boy played by Gurnam Bhullar is finding a ‘Kokka’ kudi to marry. On the other hand, a super-successful, but bachelorette, Ajooni, played by Neeru Bajwa is already in her 40s and trying to find her perfect match for marriage but getting terrible wedding proposals. Fate brings them together, and what follows is a crazy romance defying all societal pressures of age.
The director of the film, Santosh Subhash Thite has had a lot of success previously in the Punjabi industry for working on unconventional concepts. He is very happy with the initial success that Kokka is garnering, “When I heard the story of Kokka, I immediately knew that the film would make headlines due to its unique content. It has been a really delightful journey as it was a pleasure working with Neeru Bajwa and Gurnam Bhullar again and this time together. I am sure the audience will appreciate our hard work that went into the making of the film.”
Neeru Bajwa dons the cap of a producer and an actor at the same time with the film, she adds, “I could not be happier while associating with such an exceptional concept as a producer. I knew from the start that I had to get under the skin of the character, Ajooni as this is a very unique concept in the Punjabi industry and I want the audience to accept that in a fun and romantic way just as we have displayed on the screen.”
Gurnam Bhullar is equally excited about the fact that he is romancing Neeru Bajwa on screen, “I think with ‘Kokka’, we want people to change their mentality and know that age is just a number. If your love for someone is true, nothing else should matter. I always try to do atypical projects in Punjabi cinema, so I can always deliver something new to the audience.”
