Monthly Members Get together of Mohali Senior Citizens Association was held today ie 3rd May 2022 First Tuesday. About one hundred members attended. It srarted with a game of tambola. New members were introduced. A talk on FT-3D Knee Resurfacing was arranged by Healing Hospital, Sec 34, Chandigarh. Dr Tarandeep Singh Gill pioneer of this new technology well explained the advantages of this technology over prevalent knee replacement methods.
Brig J S Jagdev, President MSCA informed the members about Educational Trust conceptualized by Dr A S Khehra Founder President and Chairman of MSCA and later adopted by MSCA. Six rural Govt Primary Schools are adopted by the trust. Six teachers one each for these schools are hired by the trust and paid Rs 1500 pm for helping students of fifth class for two hours after school. Trust intends to raise the remuneration of these teachers and adopt more schools in future. On President’s appeal members donated liberly and a fund of about one lakh was raised.
Birthday of the members were celebrated by cake cutting. Refreshment was sponsored by the Healing Hospital. Event was well covered by Samaj TV. It was also available on Facebook streamed live by MSCA members.
