Chandigarh Transport Undertaking (CTU) has taken an initiative to connect with tricity people by organizing “Nukkar Nataks”. This endeavor is to bring about the awareness with respect to public transport in order to promote the ridership in the buses so that city can be decongested from vehicular traffic as well as to reduce the environmental pollution.
“Samvaad Theater Group Chandigarh” has been engaged by CTU to organize such “Nataks”.
In sequence of this today i.e. on dated 13-04-2022, another “Nukkar Natak” was presented to make the public aware with respect to the newly introduced Intelligent Transport System (ITS) in the buses. In this Nukkar Natak, people were made aware of the various facilities provided under ITS Project like Panic Buttons in the buses, cameras in the buses, Mobile App to track the bus and Command Control Centre at ISBT-43 to monitor the live surveillance of the buses. The importance of maintaining cleanliness at the public places was also exhibited. The Nukkad Natak also touched upon the Airport Shuttle Bus Service started by CTU for the benefits of Airport Commuters.
Yashjeet Gupta, General Manager CCBSS and other officials of CTU were present on this occasion.
