“Bhartiya Nav-varsh Vikram Samvat 2079” celebration at PGIMER, Chandigarh.
Vikram Samvat 2079, The Indian New Year was celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy at PGI Chandigarh on the “Chaitra Shukla Pratipada.” Like every year, “Bhartiya Nav-varsh was jointly organized by various associations of PGI together. Chief Guest Sri Pradeep Joshi ji (All India co-contact chief Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) was the key-note speaker. PGI Chandigarh is staffed by doctors, nursing officers, medical and paramedical students, and employees from different places across the country. India’s rich traditional heritage and the idea of “unity in diversity” were depicted on this occasion. Cultural programs like poetry recitation, photography, painting, rangoli, a fashion show in traditional clothes, Cultural Dance, song & music were organized. An Yoga Guru performed Yoga and Sangeet Artshala. Program organizer Nirmal Thakur (Contact Head), Dr. J S Thakur (President, Faculty Association), Dr. Rahul (President, ARD), Satyaveer Dagur (General Secretary, Nursing Association), Anju Bala (Treasurer, Nursing Welfare Association), Anirudh Uniyal (SAPT), Mahesh, Satish, Hansraj, and Nivedita were present on this occasion.
