Welcomed the incoming batch of B.D.S. students, in an illustrious WHITE COAT CEREMONY, held on the 4th April, 2022 at the Law Auditorium, Panjab University.

The Principal, Faculty, Staff and Students of Dr. Harvansh Singh Judge Institute of Dental Sciences, Panjab University, Chandigarh formally welcomed the incoming batch of B.D.S. students, in an illustrious WHITE COAT CEREMONY, held on the 4th April, 2022 at the Law Auditorium, Panjab University.

Her Excellence Honourable Governor of Chhattisgarh Sushri Anusuiya Uikey graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The other  eminent dignitaries include Prof. Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Panjab University, Prof Renu Vig, Dean of University Instruction, Prof. Jagat Bhushan, Controller of Examinations, Prof. Sudhir Kumar, Dean Research, and CA Vikram Nayyar, Registrar, PU shared the dais with her.

Sushri Anusuiya Uikey advised the students to stay focused and move ahead in life with determination. She emphasized that white coat is a symbolic, non-verbal communication used to express and reaffirm a fundamental belief in a system that society observes. The authority of dress is serious and purposeful, not social, casual or random. She motivated the students to contribute in every positive manner to serve the community. She gave various examples to motivate the students and urged them to follow this Nobel profession with complete honesty and humility.

Prof Raj Kumar expressed his happiness to be part of the event and advised
the students to do justice to the profession. He urged the students to be
on the path of righteousness.

Prof.(Dr.) Hemant Batra, Principal-cum-Director of the Institute, while welcoming the
guests impressed upon the students the essence of donning the White Coat
and the responsibilities that come with it. He assured the parents that they will get their wards after 5 years as Professionals with commitment, dedication and passion.

After receiving their White Coats from the Dignities, the students
undertook the Dental Oath. The Ceremony was attended by the parents of the students, who with glistening eyes and proud smiles on their faces, watched their children don the white coat, with promises of duty and service.

The ceremony ended with a vote of thanks by Prof. Deepak Gupta, from HS Judge Harvansh Singh Judge Institute of Dental Sciences.
