            The Centre for Nuclear Medicine jointly with Centre for Public health organised a hands-on workshop on March 3rd, 2022 to observe National Safety week. The theme of the workshop was “Emergency situations and safety measures” to propagate and create awareness among the participants about the various safety measures to prevent accidents. The resource person Dr Gaurav Gaur, Chairperson, Centre for Social Work, Panjab University, highlighted the importance of Safety in all spheres of life and gave hands-on demonstration on fire extinguishing to the participants. This was followed by a session on safe practices in Radiation laboratory and Mock drill for spillage of radioactivity by Mr Sachin Tayal, Scientist E, Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, Mullanpur. Around 40 participants from Centre for Nuclear Medicine, Centre for Medical Physics and Centre for Public health participated in the workshop. The workshop was witnessed to be very fruitful for the participants and ended with a vote of thanks by the Dr Vijayta D Chadha, Chairperson, Centre for Nuclear Medicine, Panjab University
