PGIMER’s Department of Dermatology, Venereology and Leprology win several awards
Chandigarh : February 21 : Members of the faculty and residents of the Department of Dermatology, Venereology & Leprology at PGI won several awards in the recently concluded National conference of the Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists (IADVL) that was held in the hybrid mode in Jaipur earlier this month.
The team of Dr Prateeksha Reddy and Dr Vignesh Narayan won the prestigious IADVL National quiz for postgraduates. Thepostgraduates from the department have won the prestigious quiz 5 times since its inception in this three-stage quiz competition.

Senior residents who won awards included Dr Vishal Thakur bestowed with the IADVL Abbott Best Researcher Award and Dr Hitaishi Mehta the Dr D.K. Gupta Medal for best paper presentation at the Award paper session.
Among the faculty members Dr Sunil Dogra won the Presidential appreciation award while Dr Tarun Narang was bestowed with Prof. V.N. Sehgal award for Excellence in Dermatology. Dr Anuradha Bishnoi won an award for a paper published in the Indian Journal of Dermatology, Venereology and Leprology in the year 2021. Dr Haridharan Anand Shanmugam who was guided by Prof Sanjeev Handa and Dr Dipankar De won the Indubala Devi Memorial award for best publication on contact dermatitis published in the same journal.
