Police Post, PGI, Chandigarh  and Thalassaemic Charitable Trust PGI-GMCH (Regd.)  organised a Blood Donation Camp for Thalassaemic patients on 17th January 2022, at Zakir Hall, Research Block-A, PGIMER,  Chandigarh.  Sukh Foundation, Chandigarh has also participated in this noble cause.

Shri Charanjit Singh Virk, Dy.  Supdt. of Police (Central) was Chief Guest. Dr. Vipin Kaushal, Medical Superintendent,  Prof (Dr) Ratti Ram Sharma, Head and Prof (Dr)  Hari Krishan, Asst Professor, Department of Blood Transfusion Medicine,  PGIMER  blessed the blood donors in the camp. Shri Sachin Galav, Councillor, Ward No.13, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh and his friends donated blood in this camp.

Total 123 Voluntary Blood Donors donated blood in this camp and about 26 blood donors were rejected during pre-examination by the doctors. Smt. Chandermukhi Mann, Incharge, Police Post, PGI and Sh. Rajinder Kalra, Member Secretary of Thalassaemic Charitable Trust thanked the esteemed voluntary blood donors for donating blood in COVID19.
The Security Department of PGIMER, Chandigarh and Thalassaemic Charitable Trust is organising a Blood Donation Camp in PGIMER on 22nd January 2022 to celebrate Republic Day.

All voluntary blood donors and social groups are requested to donate blood in this camp for Thalassaemics and other serious patients needing blood support.
