Rs 1-Cr insurance relief given to deceased personnel family

Panchkula/Chandigarh, Dec 13 – Haryana Police today presented cheques of Rs 50-lakh each to family members of Late Constable Balvinder Singh and EASI Nasib Dass, who were killed in a road accident on August 14, this year.

The financial help under an agreement with the HDFC bank was given by Additional Director General of Police (Administration and IT) Sh. A.S. Chawla, who is also the Nodal Officer for Haryana 112 project.

Under the accidental death insurance cover, a cheque of Rs 40-lakh was received by Smt. Surender Kaur, wife of Constable Balvinder Singh and Rs 5-lakh each by Smt Tejo Devi, mother and Sh. Ajmer Singh, father of the deceased cop.

Similarly, cheque of Rs 45 lakh was received by Smt. Samindro, wife of late EASI Nasib Dass and Rs 5 lakh by his mother Smt Jango Devi.

Conveying his heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved family, Sh. Chawla said that both EASI Nasib Dass and Constable Balwinder would be long remembered for their bravery and exceptional services to the Police Department.

Both the personnel, posted on 112 vehicle, were killed in an unfortunate road mishap while managing traffic after an accident on national highway in Ambala on August 14.

Others present on this occasion SP ERSS Sh. Rajesh Kalia, ASP Smt. Noopur Bishnoi, bank representatives Sudhir Gandhi, Vipin Gupta, Rohit Mahajan and family members of the deceased personnel.
