GGDSD College, Sector 32 lifts the overall trophy in Zone-A – 62nd Youth & Heritage Festival, Panjab University, Chandigarh

The four-day 62nd youth & Heritage festival, Punjab university, Chandigarh Zone –A at Post Graduate Government College, Sector -46, Chandigarh concluded with stellar Gidha and Bhangra performances by the students. The students dressed in bright colourful attires mesmerised the audience with their energetic dances.
In the afternoon session Sh. Sarpreet Singh Gill, IAS, Education Secretary, Chandigarh Administration was the Chief Guest and Sh. Jagjit Singh, PCS, Director Higher Education, Chandigarh Administration was the Guest of Honour. Dr. Abha Sudarshan, Principal extended a warm welcome to the Chief Guest.
In his address Sh. Gill expressed his pleasure on witnessing the cultural extravaganza presented by the young students. He congratulated the students for their laudable performances. “Education is a field close to my heart as it is education that shapes the Nation” he added.
While GGDSD College, Sector-32, Chandigarh won the overall trophy, DAV College, Sector -10 and PGGC- 11 bagged the first runners and second runners up trophy respectively.
Earlier in the day Mr. Kuldeep Singh Chahal , SSP Chandigarh graced the occasion as the Chief Guest Dr. Dilip Kumar was the Guest of Honour in the morning session.
Principals and contingent in charges of the participating colleges were also present on the occasion.
