Readers and writers society of India (RWSI), in association with T.S Central State Library Sector 17, Chandigarh, organized two days Chandigarh Cultural Festival 2021 in the Library Hall on 18th & 20th Nov.2021.Today was the 2nd and last day of the festival

In the first session, English poets of the tricity: Dr. Kulbir Kaur, Mrs. Lily Swaran, Anchal Arora, Prof. Anuradha Bhattacharya, Mrs. Alka Kansra, Mr. Vinod Khanna & Master VishwasBehal recited their poems.
In the second session Dr. Sarup Sailani’s (Ph.D, D. Litt) landmark book ‘Influence of Buddhism on selected works of world literature’was released by Dr. I.D Singh, Dr. Kulbir Kaur (Guest of Honour) and Mr. Ashok Bhandari Nadir who presided over the function.
Dr. Kulbir Kaur mentioned in her paper that over the centuries Buddhism became psycho-therapy for the suffering humanity. Buddhism teaches a practical and authentic way of life within the circumference of nature..
Dr. Sarup Sailani highlighted the salient points about the book.The book mentions that people have a misconception that Buddhism is an agnostic philosophy, which is not true.
Prof. Taruna very ably anchored the programme & thanked the audience..
