Participated by around 100 Alumni of the Deptt.
To commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of its existence in the PGIMER, the Department of Radiotherapy organised a virtual alumni meet on Friday September 3rd.
The event was spearheaded by the head of the Prof. Sushmita Ghoshal, Head, Deptt. of Radiotherapy, PGIMER.
The former Head of the Deptt. Dr.S.C. Sharma was the guest of honour and he spoke about the evolution of the department since its inception.
There were close to a hundred participants in the meet. The virtual alumni meet was graced by many present and previous doctors of the department who hold prominent positions in many national and international cancer centers.
They took this opportunity to share their experiences at PGI, and also shared words of wisdom and inspiration for all the younger radiation oncologists of the department.
Professor Sushmita Ghoshal added that virtual platform enabled to celebrate this glorious achievement admist these tough covid times and the department plans to organise monthly talks by past and present alumnus all year long.
