Two-day Outreach Programme by I&B Ministry celebrating “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” concludes today
Chandigarh Mayor flags off ‘Fit India Freedom Run’ at Sukhna Lake

The two-day outreach programme by Regional Outreach Bureau (ROB), Chandigarh, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting celebrating “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” concluded today. Earlier in the day, a “Fit Indian Freedom Run” was organised in coordination with Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS), Chandigarh at Sukhna Lake.
Photo: Fit India Freedom Run is flagged off from Sukhna Lake by Sh. Ravi Kant Sharma, Mayor and Sh Mahesh Inder Singh, Senior Deputy Mayor, Chandigarh. Mrs. Devpreet Singh, ADG Region, Ministry of I&B and other officials from NYKS & ROB were also present on the occasion.
The Fit India Freedom Run was flagged off by Shri Ravi Kant Sharma, Mayor, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh (MCC) and Shri Mahesh Inder Singh, Senior Deputy Mayor, MCC. More than 100 participants including 75 youth & other officials from ROB and NYKS Chandigarh took part in the run.
Cultural programmes and competitions like painting, quiz and fancy dress competition on freedom struggle were organised later in the day.
