Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports launches nationwide Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 to celebrate 75 years of Independence
Programmes organised in Sonipat, Sirsa and Yamunanagar Districts of Haryana

Union Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports launched the nationwide programme of Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav which celebrates 75 years on India’s Independence. The aim of the campaign is to encourage people to take up fitness activities such as running and sports in their daily life.
Under this in Haryana, programmes were organised by Nehru Yuva Kendra in Yamunanagar, Sonipat and Sirsa districts. Participants in Yamunanagar during the oath-taking ceremony pledged to devote 30 minutes daily to physical activities and to inspire others for healthy lifestyle. Similarly in Sirsa and Sonipat districts also youth participated in the freedom run with joy and gaiety.
Shri GS Bajwa, Deputy Director (Haryana), Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) earlier in a press conference on Wednesday informed that NYKS, Haryana will conduct this programme in 22 districts of Haryana covering 1650 villages. Every district will conduct fit India Run in 75 villages with participation of 75 Youth/Volunteers of existing youth clubs and NSS volunteers in Haryana.
