Mass Protest and Rosh March observed by Sanyukt Karamchari Morcha for Joint demands at Shivalik View Ground, Sector 17 Chandigarh.

Mass number of Contractual and Regular employees attended the Protest March.

On August 10, the entire leadership observed huge Protest and Rosh March in front of Parade ground from 10 am to 2 pm.

Chandigarh 10.08.2021:– Six major employees’ federations and organizations of UT and MC Chandigarh had earlier jointly submitted a demand letter to the Chandigarh Administration on the major demands of the employees and demanded a meeting to solve the problems of the employees. Ignoring these demands, the Chandigarh Administration has not addressed the United Workers’ Front for Joint demands.

In view of non redressal of common demands and the increasing anger among the employees of Chandigarh, a huge mass Protest and Rosh March from 10 am to 2 pm at Sector 17 was observed today.

The Conveners of the Working Committee of Sanyukt Karamchari Morcha Shri Gopal Dutt Joshi, Sukhbir Singh, Rajinder Kumar, Ashwini Kumar, Balwinder Singh, Bipin Sher Singh, besides state executive members Dharmendra Rahi, Ranbir Rana, Rajinder Katoch,Raghbir Chand, Raja Ram, Surmukh Singh,Ranjit Mishra,Dabkesh Kumar, Ashok Kumar and Rajinder Singh, Sukhpreet Singh, Janardan yadav etc., attended the protest against administration and observed Rosh March.

The senior retired leadership from Chandigarh administration and M.C also participated.

The joint demands include regularization policy of contract employees in Chandigarh and Municipal Corporation and equal pay- equal work for outsourcing workers, non-removal of existing workers in GeM portal for all categories of outsourcing employees, Regularisation of daily wagers by covering in policy of 13.3.15,Ban on privatization of public sector like electricity, transport and health, job to the kin of deceased employees by abolishing 5% ceiling on Punjab pattern, restoration of old pension scheme, filling up of vacant posts, increase in DA and DC rates, Allotment of housing accommodation to the successful candidates of the housing scheme, implementation of all service rules and conditions of the state of Punjab as per 13.1.92 notification
of Government of India, Pension to Housing Board employees, Pension to retired employees from MC by Chandigarh Administration, job security of ex-servicemen foresters and forest guards working on contract in forest department in regular recruitment,8 hours duty of watchmen working in schools,reinstatement of job of outsourced driver terminated from MC,non conversion of DC rates employees through GeM Portal in education department, exemption to employees already working on contract in the advertisement of regular recruitment till finalization of regularization Policy etc.

Sanyukt Karamchari Morcha, UT and MC Chandigarh tried to march to the Governor’s House to conduct a fury march, which was tried to stop by the police by putting up barricades. There was a vigorous demonstration by a large number of employees.

Sanyukt Karamchari Morcha submitted its memorandum letter to SDM Central.

Sanyukt Karamchari Morcha UT and MC Chandigarh also warned the administration to intensify their struggle and dharna demonstration at the door of Chandigarh Administration and MC Authority if the administration did not get the meeting to resolve these joint demands of the employees shortly .
