IMPCC Meeting cheers for Indian athletes participating in Tokyo Olympics 2020

The Inter Media Publicity Coordination Committee (IMPCC) of the various units of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting and central and state government departments instates of Haryana&Punjab and Union territory of Chandigarh was organisedtodayby Press Information Bureau (PIB), Chandigarh.
Chairing the meeting Smt. Devpreet Singh, Additional Director General (Region), PIB Chandigarh in her welcome address laid emphasis on strengthening public awareness campaigns on COVID Appropriate Behaviour & COVID vaccination. She appreciated positive approach of common masses for adhering to COVID SOPs in daily life thereby helping in reducing infections and improving upon COVID recovery rate.
The representatives from various media units and government departments briefed during the meeting about the special activities of their respective departments during themonth.
Out of the activities undertaken by Regional Outreach Bureau (ROB), Chandigarh, Ms. Sapna, Assistant Director highlightedmobile awareness drives on Covid-19 vaccination in the states of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Union Territory of Chandigarh. Shesaid that a vaccination camp was also recently organised during its ongoing awareness drive in Karnal, Haryana. Mrs. Sangeeta Joshi, Assistant Director, ROBChandigarh informed thatROB Chandigarh has also launched a push-up India campaignto cheer Indian Olympic athletes.
Shri Rajeev Arora, Programme Executive, All India Radio, Bathinda, Shri Pankaj Sharma, News Editor, DDK, Hisar and Shri Amarpreet Singh, Transmission Executive, DDK, Chandigarh briefed onvarious programmeson Covid-19 vaccination, Tokyo Olympics mounted by their Regional News Units during the month.

Shri Ajit Kanwal Hamdard, Joint Director, DPR, Punjab, Shri Arjun Kambhoj, Director, Jan Shikshan Sanstha, Chandigarh, Shri Baljit Singh Grewal, Assistant Director, ROB, Chandigarh, Smt. Kriti Mishra from Central Ground Water Board (CGWB), Dr Reji B, Assistant Director, Directorate of Census Operations (DCO), Chandigarh also apprised about the initiatives and activities undertaken.
Shri Harshit Narang, Assistant Director, PIB Chandigarh and Ms. Binni, Consultant, IECfrom Chandigarh Health Department were also present during meeting.
Shri Hitesh Rawat, Assistant Director (M&C), PIB Chandigarh briefed about the various activities of PIB Chandigarh. He moderated the proceedings and presented vote of thanks to the participants.The members at the Meeting also cheered for Indian athletes participating in Tokyo Olympics 2020.
The meeting is convened to provide a platform to all the stakeholders including media units, implementing and executing agencies as well as departments to discuss issues and highlight their activities.
