Shri Dhanwantry Ayurvedic College And Hospital, sector 46-B , Chandigarh on Monday celebrated the seventh international day of yoga. As a part of celebration free yoga camp was organized for seven days from 16th June to 21st June under a common yoga protocol. On 21st June , a concluding event was organized physically as well as virtually to reach maximum number of people. During virtual session guest of honor, BCCI treasurer Shri Arun Dhumal addressed the people about the benefits and need of yoga for disease and stress free life. Prof. (Dr.) D.K. Chadha, HOD,Department of Swasthvritta and yoga told that during this camp people who suffered from anxiety, insomnia, Diabetes, high blood pressure, breathlessness, respiratory problems after recovery from COVID-19, got registered and learned the techniques of yoga to get relief. Assistant professor,Department of Bal rog (pediatrics) , & yoga coordinator Dr. Shiksha Rana conducted special orientation sessions for children focusing on healthy lifestyle, eating habits and integration of yoga in their day to day life for  good physical and mental health. As per people this camp helped them to reduce stress and brought smile to their faces. They are more enthusiastic and calmer after this camp.
