Yoga helps in balancing mind, body and soul

A webinar on ‘International Day of Yoga – 2021’ was organised today by Field Outreach Bureau (FOB), Narnaul under Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India.A guest speaker Yogacharya Bajrang Jangid from Bharat Swabhiman, Narnaul said that yoga helps in balancing individual’s mind, body and soul. He said, in today’s times, our brain is constantly engaged in endless thoughts and never rests in tranquillity. Yoga can be our saviour here, he added.

Another speaker, Sh. Mahendra Kumar Nayak, DistrictYouth Officer, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Narnaul spoke about therelevance of International Day of Yoga which is being celebrated annually since 21 June 2015. He emphasized the importance of regular yoga exercises, especially in building strength and confidence in the youngsters.
Sh. Nilesh Mudgal, Incharge Patanjali Yog Samiti, Mahendragarh mentioned that yoga is both an art and a science that has been fostered from times immemorial in India. Yoga helps one to live in the moment which reduces stress and anxiety, showing tangible benefits in every facet of life, he added. He also demonstrated some basic asanas and pranayam that can be done to improve posture and reduce back and neck pain.

In his welcome address, Sh. Hitesh Rawat, Assistant Director, Press Information Bureau (PIB), Chandigarh said that in this lockdown & pandemic period, yoga is the best thing to adopt as a lifestyle habit as it helps us build a strong physical, mental and spiritual health system.The webinar was moderated by Sh. Baljeet Singh, Assistant Director, Regional Outreach Bureau (ROB), Chandigarh and Sh. Rajesh Arora, Incharge FOB Narnaul gave the vote of thanks.
