Punjab legislator converts his farm-house into a 100-bed temporary isolation ward in Zirakpur

With the dramatic rise in Corona cases, the need for isolation centres has also increased. Many charitable societies and Non-Government Organisations have been converted into mini Covid Care Centres. One such case is of the Punjab legislator Shri N.K. Sharma who has converted his farm-house into a 100-bed temporary Isolation ward in Zirakpur.

At this 100-bed temporary isolation ward, those Covid patients will be isolated who can not isolate at home, for any reason. The facility of a doctor, an ambulance and regular food is also provided at the centre.

Shri N.K. Sharma said, “As the cases are rising, many people are unable to get isolation facility at home. We have madearrangements for 100 patients at the isolation centre andhave tried to provide the best facilities for them. The arrangements for doctors, medicines and ambulances have also been made.” He further added that they were also making efforts for the provisioning of oxygen at the centre.
