1) We are in routine and constant touch with the hostel redidents through their respective Wardens and otherwise also. As such there is no deadlock. We are for the welfare and interest of students only.

2) On an average, about a dozen students are leaving PU hostels on their own on daily basis. There is not an iota of truth in the alleged duress rather the hostel residents from far-flung / distant areas are seeking guidance / assistance / facilitation in number of cases and DSW Office team/hostel-staff have facilitated to the maximum possible extent.

3) Owing to ever decreasing number of residents in hostels from 800 to below 300 there is no requirement of opening up of any other Mess.

4) Sensing the grim situation owing to escalating number of cases, the hostel staff is motivated to get COVID-19 vaccination and to a great extent positive response has poured as many including Wardens, Senior Assistants, Clerks, Peons, Cleaners, Security Staff have got the dosage administeted and others will get it done shortly.
5)The DSP, today urged the students to let the willing students go home and the Facilitation committee of PU will look into genuine concerns of students for stay in the campus, that too with due permission of their Chairpersons/guides.
