Chandigarh, April 30 – In another major haul, Haryana Police has seized 119 kg 700 gram of ganja patti after conducting a raid at a house in Palwal district. The haul was conducted after the police received a tip-off about drug peddling.
Giving this information here today, a Haryana Police spokesperson informed that police has got a tip-off regarding a huge consignment of contraband hidden in a house in Malai village. Acting swiftly, a police team in the presence of Naib-tehsildar conducted a raid at the premises.
During the search, police found seven plastic bags containing a total of 119 kg 700 gram ganja patti from the house.
Police has arrested the accused identified as Jaikam, a resident of Malai village. He was booked under the provisions of NDPS Act.
The accused will be taken on remand by producing in the Court so that the names of others connected with the network of drug peddling could be revealed. Further investigation is underway.
