Like every year, this year also Bhartiya New year festival program was organized at PGIMER Chandigarh, with following the strict guidelines and protocol of covid. New Year Festival, Vikram Samvat 2078 | Today the new year festival was celebrated in the institution with the participation of all, in this program, all the association of the institute gathered together and actively participated, everyone celebrated the new year with joy and harmony.
Vikram samvat was started by Maharaj Vikramaditya and it is believed that at the day of Chaitra Shukla Pratipada universe was created by Parampita Brahma Ji.
As the chief guest and keynote speaker at today’s event, Dr. Vinay Sofat told everyone the importance of Indian culture and Bhartiya New Year. Distinguished guests were Dr. Arun Baranwal, Professor, Advance Pediatric Center, PGI Chandigarh, and other guests were Viswadeep Ji, Province cum College Student Head. Mr. Nirmal Thakur, Sakha Karyawah-PGI, who was present on the stage, told everyone about the outline and importance of this program, the Anchoring was conducted by Dr. Ujjwal. Other members Anju Bala, Satyaveer ji, Siyaram ji, Jagdeep ji, Anirudh ji, Mahesh ji, etc including doctors, nurses, students and staff members of PGIMER were present and participated in this program.
In the program, Dr. Uttam Thakur, President, Doctors Association, PGIMER and Ashwani Munjal, President Employees Union, PGIMER were honored for their selfless service and support. After the program, Prasad of Laddu was distributed to the needy people by the team of PGIMER.
