The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, PGIMER Chandigarh is organizing a zonal conference, North Zone Yuva FOGSI 2020 under the aegis of Federation of Obstetrics and Gynecology society of India (FOGSI) from 2nd to 4th April 2021 on virtual platform due to ongoing Covid Pandemic, keeping everyone’s safety a priority and to have maximum participation.
YUVA FOGSI involves active involvement of young gynecologists and helps to update the knowledge of all practitioners.
The Theme for the conferences is “Optimizing Perinatal Health”. Proper health care during the perinatal period, which ranges from 22 weeks gestational age to 1 week after delivery, can help to reduce maternal and neonatal deaths to a great degree.
The conference is designed to provide the excellent and evidence based academic content from experienced, reputed national and international experts. It will start with pre-conference workshops on 3 important topics- operative obstetrics, ultrasound in obstetrics and gynecology and critical Care in obstetrics. On subsequent two days, there will be e-lectures symposia, and interactive sessions on the current important topics in the field of obstetrics, gynecology and neonatology by esteemed faculty to improve the maternal and neonatal health outcome. The concluding sessions will brush up the knowledge on latest contraceptive methods and update on medico legal aspects in the daily practice including new MTP amendment act 2021. There will be free paper communication and poster presentations by the young budding gynecologists with awards for the best presentations to encourage them in the field of research work.
The conference will provide an opportunity for the young gynecologists to improve their knowledge and skill.
