World Water Day There’s a proverb that says that Pure Water is the World’s First and Foremost Medicine. Earth is 71% per cent water and our bodies contain 60% water. Water is thus, vital for life on the planet. However, humans need freshwater to conduct their daily activities, not saltwater. United Nations celebrates March 22, each year, as World Water Day to make people aware of the importance of freshwater. On the occasion of the 28th World Water Day, “Swaach Jal- Surakshit Kal” the joint mission initiated by SUDHA Society and RO Care India, Gurgaon. Motive of the mission is to lesser down the increasing number of water borne diseases in India.
As a start of the mission, RO Care India has installed a Water Purifier System in Elegant Children’s Academy, Bhondsi on Monday for little kids. Dr. Geetanjli Dua, Manager Employee Relations at RO Care India and Ruchi Saxena, President of SUDHA Society initiated this mission under the guidance of Mr. G.K. Bhatnagar, Chairman of SUDHA Society and Mr. Manoj Sharma, CEO, RO Care, India. 22nd March is celebrated as World Water Day and on the occasion of this day Sudha Society and RO Care India has started this mission from Gurgaon.
Mr. G.K. Bhatnagar guided the students on importance of pure water and how harmful are water borne diseases. Mr. Bhatnagar shares his thoughts on how to teach and guide everyone on the value of fresh water. Ms. Ruchi Saxena and Dr. Geetanjli also shared the facts and numbers of diseases Indian are suffering because of water. This social welfare initiative was taken by Dr Geetanjli Dua who is the employee relationship manager of RO Care India under the guidance of its founder Manoj Sharma.
RO Care India believes that with the installation of water purifier in Elegant Academy the students here will get easy access to pure drinking water which help them stay healthy and keep them safe from water-borne diseases. Also, RO Care aims at providing contamination-free drinking water accessible to people PAN India.
