Chandigarh, March 3 – President, Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee Kumari Selja said that in order to hide its failures, the BJP-JJP government of Haryana is only pretending to give 75 percent reservation to local youth in new jobs in the private sector. The ground reality is that there are no jobs in the private sector. On the other hand, government recruitment are being halted and canceled by this government under a conspiracy. Today, the youth of Haryana is frustrated and disappointed with the policies of this government. Due to the inefficiency of this government, the youth of the state is finding its future bleak.
In the statement issued here today, Kumari Selja said that due to the failures of this government, many businesses in the state have been ruined and unemployment is increasing continuously. According to CMIE data, the unemployment rate of Haryana is highest in the entire country. There are no new jobs in the private sector, so how will the youth get employment. Today, the situation has become such that jobs of those working for years are being snatched. 75 percent reservation in private sector jobs is being pretended by the government, she added.
Kumari Selja asked why 75 percent reservation will not be given to the youth of the state in jobs having salary above Rs 50,000 per month in the private sector. Change of Land Use (CLU) of agricultural land is issued by the Town and Country Planning Department for industries. It has provision that except for technology for such industries, 75 per cent of the employment is to be provided to domiciled residents of Haryana, but why it has not been implemented properly by the government. The government has organized conferences by spending crores of rupees for investment, yet unemployment is increasing in the state. What happened to the investments about which big claims were made by the government, she questioned?
Kumari Selja said that during the Congress government in Haryana, lakhs of small and big industries had come up in the state, but today the situation is terrible. Due to the wrong policies and failures of this government, small and big business industries are being destroyed in the state. Companies are migrating from the state. Government does not want to give government jobs. Under the conspiracy, old recruitment are being halted or canceled, livelihood of government employees is being snatched, and non-regular workers are being fired. A few months ago, Chief Minister Manohar Lal gave a statement that the recruitment in government jobs will be stopped for the next one year. Although after heavy opposition from the Congress party, he changed his statement, but it exposed the government’s intention.
Kumari Selja said that due to the policies of this government, the youth of Haryana see their future as unsafe. Government should stop show off and provide relief to the established industrial businesses in the state with immediate effect and take concrete steps for employment generation.
