Department of Indian Theatre, Panjab University, Chandigarh today organised it’s First Ever Alumni Meet. The event was held through virtual mode. Prof.R.K. Singla, Dean of University Instruction has inaugurated the first ever alumni meet of the department. Alumni from the first batch of diploma and Masters degree attended the event alongwith many more from various batches. Prof.Anoop Lather,Sunil Grover and Pankaj Pammu were the speakers for the day. There were many cultural items performed by the present students and completely enjoyed by everyone, mentioned Dr. Navdeep Kaur, Convener cum Coordinator of the event. Prof. Emeretus of the Department, Padamshree Neelam Man Singh Chaudhary, Prof. Rani Balbir kaur and Prof. Mahendera kumar were felicitated by the award of Distinguished Alumni . Everyone appreciated the efforts of Chairperson of the department Dr. Navdeep Kaur for organising this first Alumni Meet of the Department. A virtual journey of the Studio and open air theatre of the department made everyone emotional. Everyone shared their experiences and success stories.
