President, Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee Kumari Selja said that following the footsteps of the British, the BJP government wants to suppress every voice in support of farmers against the anti-black agriculture laws, but it will not succeed in it. The whole country has recognized the conspiracy of the BJP. It is the dictatorship of the BJP government to detain the Congress leaders, who were marching to the Rashtrapati Bhavan. The government should understand that it cannot suppress the voice of Congress in support of farmers. The BJP government will have to repeal these black laws, she added.
It is worth mentioning that Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi, who was marching towards Rashtrapati Bhavan today, and Congress leaders including President, HPCC, Kumari Selja were taken into custody by Delhi Police. Kumari Selja said this after being released from custody by Delhi Police.
Kumari Selja said that the BJP government wants to crush every voice raised in support of farmers. The BJP government, which used to make huge claims of safeguarding the interests of farmers, is not listening to the voice of farmers. Farmers have been on the roads for the last one month. More than 40 farmers have lost their lives in this movement, but the government is deliberately ignoring it.
She said that it is the dictatorship of this government to detain Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi and other Congress leaders including her while they were marching towards the Rashtrapati Bhavan. She said that such persistent dictatorial attitude of the government has reminded of the British rule. She said that black laws were passed secretly by the British in the country, and when public used to protest, the voice of people was crushed with weapons. Similarly today, this government wants to suppress every voice that goes against these black laws. The BJP government is following the footsteps of the British, added Kumari Selja.
Kumari Selja said that the government wants to end the livelihood of the farmers. The government has conspired to loot the agricultural sector for the sake of benefitting some of its capitalist friends. Before the government could succeed in its motive, the farmers’ have realized this conspiracy of the government. The BJP government should have advocated for the farmers, not the capitalists. The capitalists cannot be benefited by sacrificing the interests of farmers and laborers. The BJP government will have to accept the demands of the farmers and repeal the black laws, she added
