Congress releases 20-point manifesto in Panchkula

Panchkula, December 22: Haryana Congress Committee Chief Kumari Selja’s political adviser Ram Kishan Gujjar along with Chander Mohan, the former Deputy CM of Haryana on Tuesday released a 20-point manifesto of Congress for Panchkula Municipal Corporation poll which is schedule on December 27.
Among others, Sudha Bhardwaj, Haryana Mahila Congress President, Pardeep Chaudary MLA from Kalka and other senior congress leaders were also presented.
The manifesto focused on complete all-round development of Panchkula by improving basic amenities for all sections of society.
Keeping in mind the current state of health and hygiene in the Panchkula Municipal Corporation area, and especially the Covid disaster, the manifesto described it as first focus to properly manage and control it.

It talks about to facilitate and strengthen e-governance in both rural and urban areas through e-contact centers.

The few important points of manifesto include; providing 24 hours of natural and clean water by processing the water of Ghaggar river. Eliminating the demands for illegal growth by HSVP in the 23 to 28 sector, transfer of dumping site and landfill out of residential areas, beautification of drains running in sectors 2, 4, 12 and 12A of MDC area and Panchkula.

It also focus on sufficient habitat for stray cattle and straw dogs and build dog kennels, besides rehabilitation of other slum areas including Rajiv Colony, Indra Colony, Khadag Mogul and Bir Ghaggar or upliftment of the poor by allotment of land available with the Corporation Establishment of additional fire service for rural areas and sectors 20,23,24,25,26, 27 and 28 under the corporation.

For security, Manifesto talks about deployment of vehicles for security in sectors, installation of CCTV cameras and increasing police patrol,Free parking started by the present government administration in various markets of the city.

Maintenance and beautification of public parks, construction of broken roads, streets
To put up lights and build shelter and old age homes for the underprivileged in the villages.

Provision of mobile dispensaries for senior citizens with modern medical facilities.
Appointment of constables for the protection and assistance of senior citizens.Installation of modern library with digital equipment and eBook lending system. Issuance of license to road tracks and dedicated space for free and proper release market.

It say to provide better connectivity to Sector 20 and Sector 24 with the state government and NHAI as well as providing better road connectivity between Panchkula, Chandigarh and Zirakpur by constructing new roads from Pir Muchhalla to Airport.

Under the Municipal Corporation Panchkula, clean plots of all the vacant plots will be ensured.For security in all wards, security gates will be installed by installing security gates there.To provide community center for free to all resident associations and people in the municipal corporation for festivals.
The chairman of the manifesto committee was Vijay Burp, convenor Dhruv Sood and members Jagmohan Bhanotay, SP Arora Abhinav Sharma and Subhash Khanna.
