Chandigarh.15 December,200:The Chandigarh Housing Board has recently provided facility of online payment for all kind of dues at its website www.chbonline.in. A good number of allottees/applicants have started making online payments through their Debit Card, Credit Card and online baking. There are no additional charges for making online payment.
2. For offline payments, the allottees may generate a challan by visiting website of the CHB and use the challan for making payment in any of the branch of HDFC within the Chandigarh City. For generation of such challan, the basic data of the allottee will be fetched from the database provided by the CHB to avoid any mistake and early credit of the payment. Now manually filled challans are NOT accepted by the HDFC Bank for CHB payments. Hence all the allottees of the Chandigarh Housing Board are requested to make the payment through online mode, as far as possible. However, for any reason, if offline payment is made through cash/cheque/draft, then a challan may be generated from the website of the Chandigarh Housing Board to make payment in any branch of the HDFC Bank in Chandigarh.
3. Now all the details of about 17000 allottees of Small Flats have been made available on the website of CHB. The allottee can see the details of licence fee paid, penalty for late payments and balance due etc on real time basis by visiting website of the CHB. For generating the account statement, the allottee needs to go to CHB website www.chbonline.in.and click on the Residential button under ‘Allottee Login / Online Payment’. At next page, on clicking ‘Account Statement’ the following details/action will be needed to see the statement:
Category (Small Flats)
Location/Sector
DU Number
Phone Number on which a confirmatory OTP is sent for verification
4. The Accounts Statement consists all the details such as Outstanding Rent, Penal interest for delay and total outstanding dues as on the date. The detail of all the payments made by the allottee for the Small Unit are also displayed in the Account Statement.
5. CHB hopes that this facility will be of great convenience to allottees of Small Flats in managing and keeping track of their rent dues and they need not to CHB office for reconciliation of their accounts or to ascertain their dues. Similar facility is already available for ‘Commercial Units’ and will be made available to the allottee of Residential Flats after sometime.
6. As already informed, to further encourage the online payments, every month 10 online payment transactions, irrespective of the amount paid, are being given prize of Rs. 1000/- each.
