Chandigarh.10 December,2020:As per the directions of Election Commission of India, New Delhi, the Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls w.r.t. 01.01.2021 as qualifying date- programme is already full on peak. During the said programme, all the eligible residents of Chandigarh especially young voters and left out ones will be enrolled in the electoral roll of the Chandigarh. In order to achieve the said task, the election branch of East Division enthusiastically spreading voter awareness among the residents of Chandigarh of its jurisdiction.
A Special Van is also used in spreading voter awareness/ registration at, Sector-7, Sector-27, Sector-28, Sector-29, Sector-26 Bapu Dham Colony (Slum area) to facilitate the residents and receive the claims and objection from the residents of Chandigarh on 10.12.2020 from 10:00 am to 05.00 pm. A total of approximate 500 forms were distributed and a positive response has been received from the residents.
The Special Van will also spread voter awareness/registration in the area Kishangarh, Indira Colony Manimajra, Mauli Jagran on 11.12.2020 and HalloMajra, Ramdarbar, Faidan Nizampur and Daria on 12.12.2020 from 10:00 am to 05.00 pm.
