Chandigarh sunita shastri:Bhavan Vidyalaya Panchkula Celebrates Fit India Week In an endeavour to foster good health and fitness among students, Bhavan Panchkula observed Fit India Week from 1st December to 7th December. The week had plethora of events which included virtual assemblies, Common Yoga Protocols, free hand exercises and brain games etc., wherein every dimension of fitness was taken care of. The highlight of the week long celebrations was a highly inspirational talk of Mr. Vivek Atray, Ex IAS officer and Motivational Speaker on Saturday 5th December on YouTube Live stream. Mr. Atray attributed his success to the threefold mantra of Physical, Mental and Spiritual fitness and advised the students to imbibe it in their lives. He also guided the young brigade to strike a balance in everything through moderation. Quoting Rudra Gaekwad’s interview as an example and also referring to his book ‘Finding Success Within’ Mr.Atray stimulated the youngsters to focus their mind by making it their friend. He suggested a close bond of children with their family and God. Stressing upon the necessity of Meditation he asked students to practice it for developing compassion and empathy. The talk gave a big boost to the student’s morale and motivated them to strike a balance between screen time and field time. Students could relate to his message well. There was a Q&A round in which Mr.Vivek Atray gave success tips to the student representatives. He concluded his talk with a word of advice i.e. maximising the three ‘I’s of Inspiration, Innovation and Integrity and minimising the ‘I’ that reflects our Ego. School Principal Mrs. Gulshan Kaur also inspired the students to include fitness in their daily routine. She mentioned that the nation has adopted this healthy practice to bring about a behavioural change in students by moving them away from computer screens to open fields. She further added that such initiatives will prove to be a game changer and will result in overall good National Health. The event was a grand success and was highly acclaimed by one and all.
