Chandigarh Dec 1 – In a major catch, Haryana Police has succeeded in arresting a life convict, who jumped parole in a murder case that he committed in 2006, from Sonipat district. He also having a reward of Rs 25000 on his arrest.
Giving this information here today, a spokesman of the Haryana Police said that arrested criminal has been identified as Arshad, a resident Pavati district Shamli, Uttar Pradesh. He was arrested by the STF team from near Kharkhauda.
Arrested offender, along with his accomplices, shot dead a Panipat farmer in 2006. After this, the accused was sentenced to life imprisonment by the Court.
Subsequently, he went underground after granted parole from Karnal jail in 2010. A reward of 25000 was also declared on his arrest. The accused had also committed many criminal incidents in Uttar Pradesh. He has also been a history sheeter of the UP Police.
Arrested criminal, after changing his appearance, worked as driver in Ananda Dairy in Delhi and continued to work at the fruit godowns in Bahadurgarh and Badli. He will be produced in the Court and further process is underway.
