UP’s wanted criminal with Rs50,000 bounty arrested by Haryana Police
Chandigarh, Oct 7 – Haryana Police has arrested a criminal who was on the wanted list of Uttar Pradesh police from Palwal district. A country made pistol and three cartridges were also recovered from his possession.
While giving this information here today, a Haryana Police spokesperson informed that accused who was carrying a bounty of Rs50,000 was nabbed by a team of Crime Investigation Agency after getting a secret input during patrolling near National Highway in Palwal.
Arrested accused has been identified as Ajit, a resident of Morna in Muzaffarnagar.
Initial investigation revealed that both Mujafarnagar and Meerut Police had announced a reward of Rs 25000 each on his arrest in connection with cases pertaining to murder and loot. The spokesperson said that Ajit, who has been involved in around one and half dozen criminal cases in UP, was also declared history sheeter by Bhopa police station in Muzaffarnagar district.
A case registered and criminal record of the accused is being thoroughly investigated.
