Three arrested with Rs5.71 lakh for betting on IPL
Chandigarh, Oct 5 – Haryana Police has arrested three persons in Rewari on the charges of betting on an Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket match between Delhi Capital (DC) and Kolkota Knight Riders (KKR).
Giving this information here today, a Haryana Police spokesperson informed that acting on secret input from an informer, a raid was conducted by CIA at a flat in Manchanda society, where three persons were found betting on IPL match. They were apprehended.
Police have also seized Rs5,71,900 in cash, 12 phones, one LED, a laptop and two notepads from their possession.
Arrested accused were identified as Karan Singh, Om Parkash alias Shammi and Mohit. After registration of a case, the matter is being probed, he added.
