Chandigarh, Sept 20 – In one of the biggest drug seizures, Haryana’s STF have recovered 1430 kg doda post and have arrested six accused while seized a truck and a Creta vehicle in Loharu, Bhiwani district.
Giving this information here today, a Haryana Police spokesperson informed that a crackdown on drug peddlers was made by a team of STF Hisar during patrolling. Initial investigation revealed that seized contraband was being smuggled from Jharkhand. Based on intelligence, the police team recovered a large quantity of doda post from the truck between Loharu and Satnali road.
The arrested accused were identified as Jaibir and Sachin, both hailing from Bareli district in Uttar Pradesh, Krishan Kumar, Anwar and Jitu, all from district Jhunjhunu in Rajasthan and Rajesh Kumar from Churu district in Rajasthan. Accused Anwar is a proclaimed offender in connection with the NDPS case registered in Sirsa district.
A case under relevant sections of NDPS Act has been registered against the accused and further interrogation is on to nab others involved in this racket of drug peddlers.
It is worthwhile to mention that following the DGP Haryana Sh. Manoj Yadava’s directives, a campaign is being carried out to make Haryana a completely drug free state.
